FAIR TO GOOD CONDITIONS
The Afternoon Report:
NNW swell continues to provide some fun surf for country shorelines this afternoon. Nothing real big but there are locations that are seeing some head high plus sets. Tradewinds are providing ideal side to offshore conditions to the north shore this afternoon.
Short Term Forecast for Thurs PM, 12/12:
A strong storm has recently flared up over the central NPAC through the past 12hrs and continues to hold, developing a large fetch for Hawaii with wind speeds reaching up to 40-55kts+. Other good qualities of this storm is a slow track and coming within fairly close proximity. Therefore, at this point, we're looking for a large NW swell (305-335 deg) to fill in over Friday (primarily over the PM hours with a rapid build) and top out on Saturday morning.
The Morning Report:
NNW swell continues on its slow but steady decline today but still providing some fun surf. Sunset Point catching most of the energy with some shoulder to head high waves rolling in. Tradewinds will provide typical side to offshore conditions today.
